Ya know .... this guy may use the "F" word a bit more than I prefer .... HOWEVER .... he has a pretty good point here .... actually SEVERAL GOOD POINTS .... and now I see he has a whole series of these Rants ...

My Apologies to President Obama ....

Dear President Obama ...

I feel I must apologize to you. ((I hope it is okay to use a lower case "y" in you ...)). I recently said that now that you are officially President of the United States of America, that I would support you ... and I hoped you would be successful ... because if you are successful, America is successful.

I am very sorry President Obama, but I must now retract my pledge of support for you. It has very quickly become obvious to me that if YOU are successful, YOU WILL destroy America. This "Economic Stimulus" Bill which you are pushing so desperately at the moment is so filled with Pork and Earmarks and wasteful, disgusting spending ... I am shocked that you can stand up and say "America Needs This".

I DARE YOU to Remove the Pork. Remove the give-aways to "new immigrants". Remove the abortions paid for by taxpayer money (how does that help the economy? I mean ... I an Pro-Choice ... think women should have the right to choose ... but I don't want to PAY FOR IT unless I am the one choosing.) Remove the PORK!!! Please ... I also DARE YOU to stand up to Nancy Pelosi. I Double Dog Dare you on that one!

All you are doing is proving to every person who was against you in the last election ... that we were RIGHT!! You are a socialist with communistic leanings. You are actually even more frightening than we realized. I wanted you to prove us WRONG!!! I wanted you to be a man of integrity. But it appears more and more that you aren't!!! I mean, your flipping off of John McCain the night before the election pretty much told me all I need to know about you ....

And what makes you think that all the recently laid-off white-collar workers will now be willing to don a hard hat and pick up a jack-hammer and go to work on fixing the infrastructure of bridges and roads and schools?? The only people willing to do these jobs right now are illegal aliens (ooopppss ... I mean "new immigrants") and over-paid union workers. Who is building all the roads around Texas right now?? Well around here, it is a BRITISH Company who gets the contracts!!! Mainly because they don't have to pay the American Union wages .... hmmmm .... who exactly will get the bids to shore up the infrastructure??

That is a valid question, President Obama.

Oh ... but while you are issuing Executive Orders to post-pone the move from analog to digital signals on TV's across the US .... would you also look into moving the Super Bowl to Saturday instead of Sunday?? It just makes more sense to have wild, drunken parties on Saturday night and recover on Sunday. This seems like something you might care about. Right up there with playoffs in Division 1 NCAA Football instead of the current bowl system. You could issue an executive order and fix that stuff, right? Along with letting terrorists loose from Spa-Gitmo. Good Luck with that.

Anyway ... I am sorry that I cannot back-up my promise to support you ... but I am an American ... a Conservative ... and a Capitalist. And you seem to have NONE of those characteristics.

New Preamble to the US Constitution?

The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President one day...

'We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters.

We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.'

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one is my pet peeve...get an education and go to work....don't expect everyone else to take care of you!)

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure. ((Wait?? Prison has all of those
things ... somethings wrong here .... ))

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights. ((BIG AMEN!!!))

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country.. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from!

(Lastly....)ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

Paranoia Attacks ....

Okay .... so call me paranoid .... BUT .... recently, I have had the hardest time depositing or even cashing what I believe to be a legitimate check from Ft. Worth ISD.

I run a business and as part of my business, I sell DVD's to help students who are having trouble passing the Exit level TAKS Math Test here in Texas. Here is a link to my DVD's. I mainly intended them to be bought and used by individuals .... but several school districts with migrant programs have invested in the DVD to help kids who move into Texas mid-school year and need to be brought up to speed to pass the TAKS. Ft. Worth ISD bought some DVD's and test booklets two months ago and I fnally got a check last week for $350 .... made out to Math-Matters, my business.

So ... since 2005, I have had what I thought was a business checking account with my Credit Union. I run all my checks and business expenses through that account and also keep detailed track of it in Quickbooks. I file with the IRS every year and pay income and SS taxes (unlike the new HEAD OF THE IRS!!!! Great Choice Obama!! Makes me feel so secure in your ability to surround yourself with quality people!!!) even though it would probably be VERY EASY for me to fly under the radar of Taxes because I run mostly a cash business. I also pay State Sales Taxes when due .... but Schools are Sales Tax exempt ... and I keep their Purchase Orders and Tax numbers and all of that. Since 2005, I have been depositing checks made out to me and/or to Math-Matters into this Checking account ... which I had set up with legal DBA (Doing Business As) papers.

So ... on Monday, I went to my bank to deposit the check from Ft.Worth ISD ... and my bank would not take it! I was in the Drive-thru .... listening to Rush Limbaugh on the radio .... and I saw the tellers glance at each other when I sent the deposit through ((this is where the paranoia comes in ...)) ... and my first thought was 'They don't like that I am listening to Rush and they can hear it through my car window and their intercom.' Next thing I notice is that the woman handling my deposit is on the phone and taking intensely while looking at her computer screen and I think ... 'Hmmmmm .... she is talking about ME!! and My Account!!' .... then I thought ... 'Don't be paranoid, Cin!!' .... so several minutes later, she comes over the intercom and tells me that she cannot deposit the Ft. Worth ISD check because my account is not a business account?? She could, however deposit the other $600+ worth of checks into the account because they were made out to me and "they couldn't do anything about that."

I argued that it WAS a business account and that I only use it as a business account and when I set it up, that is what it was! She said I would have to go inside to straighten it out.

Inside they said the same thing!! I needed to open a business account and did I have my DBA paperwork with me? I said no, but that I had used it when setting up the account I have open and which I have been using for years. So .... I had to leave without depositing the Ft. Worth ISD check.

I was disgruntled and complained to my husband when I go home. He suggested that I look at what bank the check was drawn on and go there to cash it ... with DBA papers in hand. So, on Tuesday I went to a local branch of J.P.Morgan/Chase Bank and took my DBA Papers and ID and the check to the cashier. She also refused to cash it and said I would have to meet with a bank manager. So I sat in a little waiting area wondering what the heck was going on!! Next thing I know there is a lady standing beside me and she is backed up by two men in suits and ties. She does not take me to an office or a cubicle and doesn't even look at my paperwork. She tells me that they cannot cash a business check and that I will need to open a business account and deposit it. The two men standing behind her looked like secret service dudes ... they just stood there with hands clasped in front of them ... feet slightly apart ... it was a bit surreal. I told her that my bank told me the same thing ... but that I had been depositing business checks into my account there for years. All I wanted to do was put the money into the bank. I wanted to cash it at Chase and take it to my bank and deposit it ... it's already in my Quickbooks as DVD Sales Income. She still refused and then wanted to know the name of the bank I used. I refused to tell her. She offered again to open a business account for me. I refused. And left.

I drove to my bank where I decided to open a new "business account" but it was closed due to inclement weather. So today ... Wednesday ... I am sure my bank is still closed because today there really is ICE on the roads. I still have the check from Ft. Worth ISD .... and it is still not deposited.

So .... I guess my question is .... Has some law changed in the past week? Say since Jan. 20, 2009? Have I suddenly become a suspicious character? Did someone hear me say "Well if the new Secretary of the Treasury doesn't have to pay his taxes, then I shouldn't have to either!!" And if they did hear me say that, then my home is bugged and so is my car and so is my table at BJ's and so is my Gym .... oopppsss .... guess I have been saying that a lot!!

WELL .... IF THE NEW SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY HIS SELF-EMPLOYMENT TAXES THEN I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO EITHER!!!

If my bank ever opens up again, I'll get a "business account" and deposit the Ft. Worth ISD check into it. Look!!! I made $350 in 2009!!! Doesn't that qualify me for a tax REBATE???? Bring it on President Obama!! Seems I am severely underpaid!!

Later in the same day ....

Opened the "Business Account" .... the lady at the bank was as clueless as she could be as to why or what or how I needed a new account ... all she could tell me is that my other account was not a business account. I had to open a savings account and MUST maintain a $25 balance in it for some reason. I had to open a checking account but do not need to keep any balance in it. So I deposited the check from FtWISD, $25 of it to savings .... then the rest into checking and I will now go into my account and move the rest into what I consider to be my business account.

SHEESH!!!!

What is wrong with HOPE?

I have several online friends who recently suddenly became filled with HOPE. This HOPE centered around the election of Barack Hussein Obama to the office of President of the United States. Their sheer joy and overflowing gushing of HOPE for CHANGE and YES WE CAN drives me crazy. I have asked them to define that HOPE. Define that CHANGE. So I got poems and dictionary definitions of hope and change. But that isn't what I meant ....

One of today's headlines in Yahoo is Today people are More Optimistic than they were yesterday .... and I mean that LITERALLY .... today Jan. 21st, 2009 people are more optimistic than they were yesterday Jan. 20th, 2009. And the single biggest thing that has changed in that 24 hour period is that George W. Bush was President of the United States of America until Noon EST yesterday.


I guess my BIGGEST question and the thing that grates against me the most is ....

.... where was that optimism 3 years ago .... where was the hope 3 years ago ... why is all the optimism and hope joyfully being released with the election of this one man? Why does all this hope and joy and optimism hinge on HIM? And if that doesn't resemble worshipping a man, what does?

I am also an optimist .... and have felt extremely optimistic for the past ... well ... almost 49 years (and the past 8 years were especially kind to me) .... I am still VERY optimistic of my life and my personal happiness (because those things depend on ME and I believe in ME) .... but I am now VERY afraid of what Pelosi and her ilk will now do to the United States of America because the one person who did his best to keep her in check and balanced is now gone. And the person who replaced him is very fond of socialist and communist beliefs and I believe that Pelosi now believes that she is going to be able to do and pass anything ... and that scares me ...

I also believe that no one has been aware of the danger the US has fought off in the past 8 years and BUSH's legacy of keeping us safe since 9/11 is probably WAY bigger than anyone can imagine. I believe that not only have we been protected from terrorist attacks, but we have also been protected from even the knowledge of what has been planned, attempted, and thwarted. I believe that when Biden and Obama became privy to much of this information during the elections, THAT was when Biden let slip that something bad will happen early in the days of an Obama Presidency. And that we will not be pleased with Obama's response to the crisis. I really did not like hearing him say that .... and I really do not look forward to seeing his predictions played out.

I believe Obama is going to age greatly in then next few months when he fully begins to realize the immmensity of the burden that Bush and Chaney carried the past 8 years.

And I am FURIOUS with Pelosi for wanting Bush and Chaney to now be arrested and put on trial for crimes against humanity. I am FURIOUS with the people who have cursed BUSH for the past 8 years. I an FURIOUS with the people who believe that we all can finally unite and get along but only on THEIR terms. That isn't Unity.

So when I read of people suddenly being filled with HOPE, my question is HOPE FOR WHAT??? And the response has been Hope for CHANGE .... and my question is CHANGE to WHAT? That is what I mean when I am asking for definition. And the response is often "I don't care ... just change from Bush being in office."

And I honor and respect George W. Bush for bearing that hatred from so many people with such simple class. Only he knows the size of the burden he has carried .... and now Obama will begin to realize, and hopefully come to respect, the man whose position he has taken. Sadly .... most Obama followers never will.

I have been predicting since the election that on Jan. 21st the Markets will begin to improve .... the threat of depression will pass .... and the world will be filled with Butterflies and Rainbows and Bunnies. I HOPE I am right!! On the other hand .... if I am right .... it makes me wonder how much of all of this was manipuated by the media? Either the Crisis of 2008 or the Optimism beginning on Jan. 21st of 2009?

((It's easy ... NOTE a recent news story ... "The number of people who are losing their homes to foreclosure has DOUBLED in this time of economic crisis!!" (True .... the number went from 3% to 6% of people being forced into foreclosure.) But what can the new post Jan. 21st headline be? "Under the leadership of Barack Obama 94% of all homeowners in the United States have been able to hold on to their homes!!! Many able to refinance at lower interest rates saving them even more money!!"))

HOPE for CHANGE that WE CAN BELIEVE IN .... YES WE CAN ....

I HOPE that Obama is successful. THAT is HOPE defined. I have HOPE that George and Laura can now relax into a retirement without Pelosi and her ilk trying to have them arrested. THAT is HOPE defined.

But I am no more filled with HOPE now than I was in 2001 or 2003 or 2005 or any other time in my past. I am not pinning my HOPE to one man. And I HOPE you aren't either.

Dang it Fred!!! I don't really blame you for not wanting the job of President of the USA .... honestly .... anyone who REALLY wants it, should be barred from getting it .... because I question their sanity .... !!
